About Samantha
In a supportive, developmentally appropriate space, I help children build insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we explore their triggers, develop emotional regulation strategies, and practice tools to manage anxious or avoidant patterns. Along the way, we nurture self-esteem, helping them feel more confident, capable, and connected in their world. With the right therapeutic approach, children can gain lifelong skills to better understand themselves, face challenges with resilience, and grow into more emotionally balanced versions of themselves. I also collaborate with parents to help reinforce progress at home, fostering a more connected and supportive family dynamic.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Before entering private practice, I spent four years as a school counselor at a charter school grounded in positive discipline, mindfulness, and restorative justice. In that role, I worked closely with students, parents, and educators to support each child’s unique emotional and academic needs. My therapeutic work is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I’m passionate about offering practical, evidence-based strategies that empower children to set clear goals and take pride in their progress. I believe therapy is a space to pause, reflect, and grow, no matter your starting point. I’m honored to walk alongside each child and family as they move toward a more grounded, confident, and connected future.
