The Beacon Family Therapy Mission

Beacon Family Therapy

Our Mission

Our greatest goal is to help all family members get back to their most joyful selves and restore the family to a place that feels like your definition of home. With that in mind we customize our approach to effect lasting positive change. We are here for you and will equip you with the tools, strategies and confidence to work through current concerns and capture that sturdy sense that you can manage life’s ups and downs.

We love your kiddos and are passionate about working with them and teaching them lifelong tools for living. We do this from a CBT, ACT and group perspective that builds skills to manage stress, regulate emotions and align their behaviors with their (and the family’s) values. We find that we do our very best work when parents are working with us on the same team.

Our approach is rooted in the parenting methods/philosophies of Collaborative and Proactive Solutions, Non Violent Resistance and Positive Discipline. In a nutshell, this is parenting that is sturdy, firm but kind and values true parental authority born of relationship, self control and emotional regulation. This is the kind of parenting that actually helps children build skills, find their intrinsic motivation, works long term AND leaves everyone feeling proud and connected.
