About Thomas

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in community mental health settings, helping individuals and families from many different cultural backgrounds. These experiences deepened my understanding of the importance of culturally sensitive care. I believe every person’s story matters, and therapy should be flexible, evolving to meet the unique needs of each individual.

I offer a collaborative, evidence-based approach designed to help you move forward with confidence. Together, we can create meaningful change, helping your child and your family thrive. I tailor therapy to fit each person’s needs, recognizing that no two journeys are the same.

Here are just some of the areas I specialize in: Anxiety and Stress Management – Calming overactive thoughts and developing emotional regulation skills. helping kids develop tools and coping strategies; and supporting kids and parents to get on the same page; Depression and Mood Challenges – Identifying patterns that impact well-being and exploring ways to improve daily functioning; Grief and Loss – Offering compassionate support through life transitions and the complexities of bereavement.

To meet these goals, I draw from a variety of therapeutic models including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Identifying and shifting thoughts that influence emotions and behavior; Solution-Focused Therapy – Highlighting strengths and identifying practical steps to achieve goals; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Cultivating resilience through mindfulness and value-driven action; Family Therapy – Addressing family dynamics and strengthening intergenerational relationships. These methods allow me to support children, teens, young adults, and families, helping them manage anxiety, depression, and life transitions while fostering lasting growth.

I am committed to providing care that is culturally responsive and inclusive, ensuring every client feels seen, understood, and respected. Mental health doesn’t exist in isolation—it is shaped by cultural, racial, and systemic factors that influence well-being. I integrate these realities into my approach, working with clients from immigrant families, multicultural backgrounds, and communities impacted by systemic inequities.
